What's New in This Release¶
Release 23.08 of the Graphics Agent for macOS includes the following:
Support for Simplified Login¶
Version 23.08 of the Graphics Agent for macOS supports a simplified login process. PCoIP connections will now be established before users log in to remote machines. This will allow users to directly interact with dialog boxes that appear during login, thereby eliminating the need for third-party tools such as VNC Viewer.
Important: Permissions for Anyware Agent Helper
must be set
Simplified Login is enabled by a new Anyware Agent Helper
service, which must be granted permission for screen capture and accessibility on the remote desktop. The installation procedures explain how to do this; if this is missed during installation, permissions can be granted after installation as described in Troubleshooting Connection Issues.
Until these permissions are set, the Graphics Agent for macOS will not work.
Note: Screen Lock does Not Engage During Login
The screen lock does not engage after login. Instead, it will engage on subsequent PCoIP connections. The screen will also be locked when PCoIP sessions disconnect.
Support for Active Directory¶
Version 23.08 of the Graphics Agent for macOS supports first time login using Active Directory accounts. For Active Directory accounts to be authenticated, the remote agent must be domain joined.
Documentation Update¶
The Graphics Agent for macOS documentation has been updated to include new troubleshooting steps for common connectivity issues. For more information, see Troubleshooting Connection Issues.
