Updating the Graphics Agent for macOS

To update the Graphics Agent for macOS to a new version, obtain the new installer and run it in place to replace the older version. Your configuration settings will be preserved.

Note: The macOS Agent App Name Has Changed

In versions prior to 23.08, the macOS agent package created the Anyware Agent app on Mac machines. Therefore, Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions were granted to Anyware Agent. With version 23.08, the macOS agent package creates the Anyware Agent Helper app. After you upgrade to version 23.08, you will notice two apps, Anyware Agent and Anyware Agent Helper. This will not affect the working of the macOS agent. The old app (Anyware Agent) can be safely deleted.

Before you Upgrade

Before you upgrade the macOS agent, make sure that you completed the tasks described in Installation Prerequisites.

Installing Using the Installer Executable

Follow the instructions given in Using the installer executable to install macOS agent.

Installing from the Terminal

Follow the instructions given in Installing the macOS agent from the Terminal.

Note: Permissions Must be Granted Again

After upgrading to version 23.08, the Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions that were granted to Anyware Agent will be lost. You must grant these permissions again.
