PCoIP Management Console release 2.2 offers the key features outlined below. See also Revision History for details about the main updates to this documentation for PCoIP Management Console release 2.2.

Table 2-1: PCoIP Management Console 2.2 Release Features

Key Release Feature Description

Working with endpoints

  • Administrators can now delete devices from the ENDPOINTS table when devices can no longer be managed.
  • You can generate a comma-delimited file from the ENDPOINTS table listing all devices, or all devices and columns, visible in the ENDPOINTS table. PCoIP Management Console administrators can use this file to import inventory information on their deployment into third-party inventory management systems. This feature is available for the Enterprise Edition only.
  • The ENDPOINTS page has an endpoint device count indicator for both GROUPED and UNGROUPED devices providing a count of all devices in that state. A quick glance at the ENDPOINTS page shows administrators if new devices have appeared in the system.

Security

  • An admin user must use the sudo command when performing actions that require elevated privilege.
  • Non-root Linux passwords must be at least ten characters long and contain one each of upper case, lower case, decimal, and special characters. When changing a non-root Linux password, the new password must be at least four characters different from the previous password.

Browser support and external links

  • The PCoIP Management Console 2.2 supports the Microsoft Edge web browser.
  • Any link in the PCoIP Management Console to systems that are external to the appliance now opens in a new browser window so you are not taken away from the administration tool.

Minimum system configuration requirement

  • The PCoIP Management Console virtual appliance’s minimum disk space requirement is now 62 GB (18 GB for swap, 500 MB for boot, and the rest for data).
  • The PCoIP Management Console virtual appliance’s minimum RAM requirement is now 12 GB .

Profile Properties

  • You can now set the Pool Name to Select property when a profile is configured for View Connection Server + Auto-Logon.
  • When importing profiles from PCoIP Management Console 1 with quad display topology, the rotation settings for all four ports are imported properly.
  • In the Edit Profile page SECURITY section, the tooltip for Force Password Change on Next Login and Enable Password Protection for OSD and AWI have been updated to clarify how these two settings affect each other.
