System Requirements

Intended Use of PCoIP Management Console 2

PCoIP Management Console 2 is only intended for use in managing Tera2 PCoIP Zero Clients from within a secured corporate network.

Important: PCoIP Management Console 2 must not be accessible from unsecured networks such as the open Internet. Making PCoIP Management Console 2 accessible from the open Internet is an unsupported use of the product and will void any warranty.

Deployment

PCoIP Management Console 2 is released in Open Virtual Appliance (OVA) format. The supported hypervisor platforms are VMware ESXi 5.1, 5.5, and 6.0.

This release of PCoIP Management Console 2 has the following system configuration:

Licensing

PCoIP Management Console Enterprise Edition requires access to the activation server on the Internet, directly on port 443 or via a proxy, in order to activate a license. For more information, please see Managing Licenses.

The PCoIP Management Console uses the following ports:

Network

The PCoIP Management Console supports IPv4 and can join any network that is using DHCP. The PCoIP Management Console also supports static IP addressing. Teradici recommends giving the PCoIP Management Console a fixed IP address, either through a DHCP reservation or by assigning a static IP address.

PCoIP Endpoint Firmware

Teradici recommends using the latest version of firmware. For information on the current and supported versions, see the Teradici PCoIP Management Console support page where you can get the latest information about the PCoIP Management Console.

PCoIP endpoints managed by PCoIP Management Console 2 require endpoints to have firmware release 5.0 or higher installed. If you have endpoints running previous firmware versions, please use Management Console 1.10.x or each device’s Administrative Web Interface (AWI) to upgrade to the latest firmware 5.0+ version.
