Firmware Applications Engineer - Engineering
Attributes:
Teradici Corporation is seeking a Firmware Applications Engineer to help
develop and deploy its first generation, leading edge products. As part
of the software team at Teradici, you will participate in core firmware
development, as well as drive customization efforts, working with Tier 1
OEMs to define requirements, manage deliverables and support initial
bring-up and full production.
The successful candidate will have prior experience in embedded software
development in real-time environments, and networked devices. The
candidate should have a desire to work with customers, and a willingness
to travel to customer sites as required, to support product development
and integration.
Qualifications:
- Customer Engineering. The firmware applications engineer's primary responsibility will be the specification and development of firmware necessary for the integration of Teradici ICs within customer product. Key to this success will be regular communication with customers to insure that requirements and system level issues are clearly defined and understood. The firmware applications engineer will provide support to OEM customers during system integration and production.
- Firmware development. The firmware applications engineer will be responsible for the specification, development and test of specific firmware components required for standard product. Development may include networking protocols, control protocols, and peripheral interfaces.
Experience:
The Ideal Candidate will have the following experience
- 5+ years of firmware development experience
- Solid software development and debugging skills.
- Experience with RISC based embedded processors (MIPS preferred)
- Experience with embedded software development tools and real-time environments.
- Working knowledge of IP networking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Electrical Engineering) or equivalent.
