Installing the Private Key and Certificate on the PCoIP Agent Desktop

The agent certificate and signing certificate must be installed on each desktop running a PCoIP Agent.

To install the agent certificate and signing certificate:

  1. Open the Microsoft Management Console on the agent machine:

    1. Press + r to open the run dialog
    2. type mmc and press Enter.
  2. Add the Certificates snap-in:

    1. Select File > Add/Remove Snap-in.
    2. Select Certificates from the Available snap-ins list and click Add.
    3. Select Computer account and click Next.
    4. Select Local computer and click Finish.
    5. Click OK.
  3. Add rootCA.pem to the 's Trusted Root Certification Authorities list:

    1. Expand Certificates (Local Computer).
    2. Right-click Trusted Root Certification Authorities, select All Tasks > Import from the context menu, and click Next.
    3. Use the Browse button to navigate to the directory where the rootCA.pem file is located.
    4. Select All Files (*.*) from the File name drop-down list, and select the rootCA.pem file.
    5. Click Open, Next (twice), and Finish.
    6. Click OK to close the The import was successful message.
  4. Add pcoipagent.p12 to the Personal store of the agent's computer account:

    1. Expand Certificates (Local Computer).
    2. Right-click Personal, select All Tasks > Import from the context menu, and click Next.
    3. Select **Personal Information Exchange (.pfx;.p12)** from the File name drop-down list, and select the pcoipagent.p12 file.
    4. Click Open and Next.
    5. Type the certificate password.
    6. Ensure these settings are correct:

      • Mark this key as exportable... is enabled
      • Include all extended properties is enabled
    7. Click Next twice and Finish.

    8. Click OK to close the The import was successful message.
  5. Restart the PCoIP Agent service on the workstation:

    1. Open Control Panel and select Administrative Tools.
    2. Double-click Services.
    3. Select your PCoIP Agent service in the Services list.
    4. Click Restart the service.
