New Features:
Products Platforms
Tera2 Workstation VMware Horizon  Amazon
WorkSpaces
24943 - Parameter name change

The Desktop Name to Select parameter on the Session > View Connection Server page has been changed to Pool Name To Select.

24940 - Smart card insertion auto-connect

When not in session, inserting a smart card automatically initiates communication with the connection broker. This is equivalent to pressing the Connect button on the OSD.

24938 - New Configuration > USB menu

A new Configuration > USB menu in the AWI allows you to configure settings for USB devices that are attached to zero client ports. The Enable EHCI setting is moved to this location (from the Permissions > USB
menu), and a new Force Local Cursor Visible setting has been added. When this feature is enabled, the zero client always shows the local cursor. When disabled, the local cursor is only shown when the host requests it or a locally-terminated mouse is connected.

17852 - Improved CounterPath Bria softphone call handling

You can now enable the inbound ringer audio for the CounterPath Bria softphone to play on an external speaker as well as your headset. This feature is located under Configuration > Audio and select Enable Dual Audio Output. When this feature is enabled, all VM audio output is sent to both the speaker and the headset.

16488 - SSLv3 no longer supported

To increase security, SSLv3 is no longer supported. The minimum TLS version used for brokering, session negotiation, management, and the AWI is TLS 1.0.

15817 - CounterPath Bria softphone

This release adds Amazon WorkSpaces support to the CounterPath Bria softphone solution.

15813* - OneSign domain name selection

The last used OneSign domain name will remain at the top of the drop-down list on the Session > View Connection Server + Imprivata OneSign page. For deployments with multiple OneSign domain names, users will be able to quickly select a frequently used logon domain.

14909 - VMware Horizon 6 RDS-hosted application delivery

Zero clients now support VMware Horizon 6 application remoting based on Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS). To configure zero clients to access VMware
Horizon streamed applications, select the new Enable RDS Application Access option on the View Connection Server > Session page, under Advanced Options.

Note: Applications open in full-screen mode, but can be re-sized once users are in session.

14908 - Buypass Smartcard support

The zero client now supports Buypass Smartcards.

14907 - Gemalto IDCore 3020 Smartcard support

The zero client now supports the Gemalto IDCore 3020 Smartcard.

14904 - Updated security ciphers for session negotiation

SCEP certificate requests now ask for SHA-256 certificates instead of SHA-1 certificates. The list of ciphers used for PCoIP session negotiation is expanded to
include several ciphers that use SHA-256 and SHA-384. In addition, the PCoIP firmware now has a new session negotiation security level called Disable SHA-1. When this mode is selected, all TLS ciphers that use SHA-1 are disabled.

Note: In release 4.8.0, the updated security cipher features are supported on Tera2 zero clients only. Both the client and host endpoints must support the expanded
cipher list in order to use a non-SHA-1 cipher.

14889* - Failover VCS address for Imprivata OneSign environments

This feature allows administrators to configure a Direct to View link on zero clients configured for View Connection Server + Imprivata OneSign mode. When users click the link, the current OneSign connection or authentication flow is cancelled and a Horizon View authentication flow starts instead. This feature lets OneSign zero client users access their View desktops when the OneSign infrastructure is unavailable.

* - Tested with Imprivata OneSign 4.9

Key Resolved Issues: Products Platforms
Tera2 Workstation VMware
Horizon
Amazon
WorkSpaces

24761 - Resolved an issue where Zero Client displays black screen(s) and does not respond to keyboard and mouse input after a session has ended.

23606 - Zero client failed to acquire a DHCP lease from the Redhat ISC-DHCP server version 3.0.5.23.el5_5.2 due to an incorrect Hardware Type byte in DHCP Discovery packet's Option 61 (client identifier) value.

23223 - Fixed an issue where the common name string length of the SCEP request was larger than the actual string size, causing invalid characters to show up with certain SCEP servers (e.g. OpenTrust SCEP server).

21815 - During certificate validation, zero clients may fail to validate the hostname of a connection broker when the hostname is expected to match a wildcard name in the certificate's list of Subject Alternative Names.

21499 - The CMI (management protocol) client in the PCoIP firmware now establishes connections to a CMI management server (e.g. the PCoIP Management Console) utilizing TLS versions above TLS 1.0. Starting with firmware 4.0.0, this connection was constrained to TLS 1.0. This restriction is removed and the firmware can now establish management connections using TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2.

 ✔

20717 - Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick, and potentially other USB devices, will now properly enumerate when attached to a USB hub.

 ✔    ✔

20180 - Resolved an issue where .NET smart card authentication fails.

 ✔  ✔

19861 - The PCoIP Connection Manager desktop allocation timeout value has been increased from 120 seconds to 200 seconds in order to allow more time for a successful session connection.

9573 - Resolved an issue where a zero client with the Auto Connect feature set to Enabled with Retry on Error would stop attempting to connect to the broker after completing touchscreen calibration.

Key Known Issues:
Products Platforms
Tera2 Workstation VMware Horizon  Amazon
WorkSpaces

25728 - The OSD Logo Upload AWI page displays overlapping content when using Internet Explorer 9.

Workaround: Use Internet Explorer 11 or other web browser.

VMware Horizon View in RDS desktops or hosted apps do not support USB redirection when connecting with PCoIP zero clients.

Recommendation: Open a feature request with VMware if this capability is required.

25466 - The combined file containing firmware 4.8.0 for Tera2 Zero Clients, with file suffix .pcoip, is not compatible with MC 1.10.2 or older.

Workaround: To use this combined file upgrade to MC 1.10.3.

25355 - Under some scenarios, users may not be able to change expired Active Directory passwords from the Zero Client OSD when using OneSign.

Workaround: Log in via a Windows computer to update the password.

24954 - The Philips Digital Pocket Memo device (VID/PID = 0911/1F40) is not supported on the Zero Client USB EHCI controller and may cause the Zero Client to restart.

Workaround: There are two solutions for the Philips Digital Pocket Memo. Users can either attach the device to the Zero Client behind a USB 1.1 hub or disable EHCI via the Zero Client AWI (this will reduce the transfer speed of other attached USB devices such as flash drives).

22761 - The first up arrow key press in the desktop selection dialog is not recognized.

22448 - RFIDeas RDR-7L82AKU proximity card readers do not detect cards after logging in to a virtual desktop running certain Imprivata versions such as OneSign 4.9 SP1 HF11.

Workaround: For information on compatible OneSign versions, contact Imprivata. Try alternative OneSign Agent versions. Customers have reported this issue does not occur with on new HF releases of OneSign for 5.0 and 4.9.

22315 - By default, Gemalto IDCore 3020 smart cards work in pre-session.
However, the card does not work while in-session for Windows 7 virtual desktops.

Workaround: Install the correct driver from a default Windows 7 installation.
1. From the zero client administrative web interface, bridge the smart card reader.
2. Without the smart card inserted, log in to the virtual desktop with username/password.
3. Insert the smart card. Windows 7 should recognize the smart card and reader and automatically install the correct drivers.
4. Log off Windows to disconnect the session.
5. From the zero client administrative web interface, remove the bridge configuration for the smart card reader.
6. Log in with the smart card. The smart card should be fully accessible.

21639 - After deleting a domain from the OneSign server, the domain remains visible on the zero client OneSign authentication dialog screen for a brief period.

Workaround: The zero client refreshes the OneSign domain list from the OneSign server once every ten minutes. The deleted domain name will be removed after ten minutes.

21135 - Configuring the transport type in Bria Virtualized Edition may cause the zero client to reset.

Workaround: Add to the DNS SRV record for the Zero Client a SIP TCP (_sip._tcp) entry.

20830 - If the virtual desktop is running Imprivata OneSign 4.9 SP1 HF11 or newer, unlocking the virtual desktop may fail if the zero client has Invert Wiegand Data disabled.

Workaround: Configure the zero client's Invert Wiegand Data setting to "Use Existing Setting" or "Enabled".

18032 - Characters may be missed when using the Magtek USB Keyboard Emulation Swipe Reader.

Workaround: Refer to knowledge base #2396 for a resolution: MagTek USB Keyboard Emulation Card Swipe Reader (i.e. credit card reader) causes "stuck key".

14433 - Disclaimer dialog is not bypassed when using PCoIP Connection Manager + Auto-Logon session connection setting.
