ePass card support

Adds support for ePass3000 Smart Cards. Manufacturer: Fetian; Model: ePass3000

ePass card support is enabled by default, no configuration is required.

Updated bandwidth management algorithm

Users will get better image quality during PCoIP session when using a zero client, especially when they play a video when the bandwidth is tight.

The updated bandwidth management algorithm is not configurable.

SCEP Certificate key size

The generated SCEP Certificate Request on the zero client now uses a 2048-bit key (previously 1024-bit).

SACK implementation on reliable channels

The PCoIP Selective Acknowledgement Protocol (Selective ACK or SACK) is designed to improve PCoIP performance over lossy networks (e.g. WANs).

The SACK on reliable channels is automatically negotiated with the host software.

Password reset with Imprivata OneSign

Adds support for OneSign's Q&A authentication modality, which can be used for SSPR Self-Service Password Reset.

Password reset with Imprivata OneSign needs to be enabled on the OneSign server.

Low Bandwidth Text Codec mode for TERA2321 (including option to disable)

This release introduces a new Low Bandwidth Text Codec, a new compression method that provides improved bandwidth usage when encoding lossless data, such as text and background. It does not apply to lossy data, such as video.
*Note: Low Bandwidth Text Codec affects TERA2321 zero clients only, and is disabled by default. Low Bandwidth Text Codec mode is disabled by default.

TERA2321 only

Accelerated monitor emulation

Tera2 hosts can now perform accelerated monitor emulation. When enabled, this property accelerates the delivery of EDID information to host systems that boot up very quickly (e.g., faster than five seconds), causing
blank screens on the remote end. Typically, these are systems with solid-state drives (SSDs).

Auto-Detect Session Type

Automatic selection of PCoIP connection types when the PCoIP Connection Manager is selected as the connection type

Auto-Detect Session Type is the default connection type.

Retirement of peer-to-peer communication on port 50001 usage

Host Power Control, WOL configuration, Power Status Change, Host Discovery, Session Wakeup Message is moved to either Port 4172 or session inbound PCoIP traffic pipe.

UTC Timestamps

Log file time stamps are now in Universal Time Coordinate (UTC) to facilitate debugging large deployments that cross time zone boundaries.

Default maximum MTU size

The default maximum MTU size for zero clients has been reduced from 1400 to 1200

5653 - In a Tera2 Host configuration, certain models of Wacom tablet devices fail to operate correctly when used with older versions of Linux (i.e. CentOS 5.3). Detection of these tablets is now performed based on the Wacom Vendor ID and a firmware based workaround is triggered within the Zero Client.

10890 - The OSD keyboard repeat settings will no longer be overwritten by the settings pushed from the VDI session.

11026 - With a Hybrid Tera2LC device (one DisplayPort and one DVI), users can get into a bad state where in-session graphics do not display properly. The error occurs when resources are oversubscribed by setting the DisplayPort monitor to 2560x1600 and the secondary monitor to "native".

11622 - You can now connect to Imprivata OneSign? server using a static IP address and spanning-tree protocol without a 10-minute delay.

11645 - Fixed an issue where entering an incorrectly formatted FQDN into the SCEP Server URL field will cause a zero client to crash.

11653 - Resolved an issue where certificates pass their validity checks if a zero client is rebooted so frequently that the cache does not have enough time to be updated.

11678 - Users may see the erroneous message "Maximum login attempts exceeded" upon authentication after completing a password change.

11806 - Fixed an issue with eBeam whiteboard (VID/PID 2650/1311) previously did not work with the Zero Client. The fix requires EHCI to be disabled.

11879 - DNS look up timeout is increased from 3 seconds to 5 seconds to handle slow DNS resolve time in some network configuration.

12015 - The configuration option "Force Password Change" checkbox is now disabled when password protection is disabled.

12098 - The Jabra 150 MS Duo headset no longer has a choppy audio quality issue.

12131 - Resolved an issue where some models of USB 3.0-capable flash drives may not be detected when inserted into a USB 2.0 hub attached to a zero client.

12523 - Zero clients no longer crash in specific workflows where token code verification is the last step before a desktop is provisioned for the user. This was a result of using certain third-party RADIUS two factor authentication server products installed in VMware View Connection servers.

12286 - The Dell E2014T Touch Monitor is now supported by zero clients while the client is in-session. However, the monitor is not supported in the Zero Client's OSD due to lack of a local driver for the device.

12223 - Resolved the issue of displaying incorrect time as a result of incorrectly reading packets from a socket connected to an NTP server. The incorrect socket read caused all subsequent time synchronizations with the NTP server to generate the time error

12571 - Korean translations for Next Token and Passcode have been improved for clarity. 인 증 번 호 replaces 비 밀 번 호 and 다 음 토 큰 코 드 .

12367 - Japanese text string translations have been updated and improved.

12490 - This release improves compatibility with CardOS smart cards.

12053 - E70 Interactive Smartboards become unauthorized due to the inability of the zero client to enumerate on the first connection following a power cycle of the zero client. This includes the connection that occurs on power up if the Smartboard is plugged into the zero client during the power cycle. Workaround: Unplug and reconnect the USB connector for the E70 Interactive Smartboard after the Zero Client has powered up.

12678 - The incompatibility with CAC/PIV ActivClient middleware v7.0.2.318 has been resolved.

13187 -When using the MC to apply a profile to endpoints running firmware 4.5.0, the endpoints may restart and the profile update may fail.  This issue applies only to profiles that contain device passwords. For customers experiencing issues after deploying firmware 4.5.0, please open a ticket at the Teradici support site.

When connecting to your View Connection Server and running firmware 4.5.0, some users are receiving a View Connection Server Communication Error. This issue is currently being investigated. Early reports indicate that this issue only appears if you are load balancing your connections. Teradici has not yet been able to reproduce the issue.

Some customers have reported performance differences between firmware 4.5.0 and previous releases when connecting to Horizon View 5.x. Please open a support ticket if you experience a difference in performance.

12053 - The E70 Interactive Smartboard becomes unauthorized due to the inability of the zero client to enumerate on the first connection following a power cycle of the zero client. This includes the connection that occurs on power up if the Smartboard is plugged into the zero client during the power cycle. Workaround: Unplug and reconnect the USB connector for the E70 Interactive Smartboard after the zero client has powered up.
