Senior ASIC Design Engineer

Teradici Corporation is seeking an experienced ASIC Design Engineer for the development of its next generation ICs serving the virtual desktop market. As part of the Silicon Engineering team, you will play a key role in high complexity ASIC developments at the forefront of the desktop virtualization and cloud computing space. Teradici’s innovative PCoIP® (PC-over-IP®) protocol is a core technology for desktop virtualization enabling an exceptional user experience in virtual desktop products like VMware View™ and is also the first technology to remote full frame-rate 3D graphics.

Description:

As a senior ASIC designer you will have responsibilities across all aspects of the ASIC development process including architecture, design, verification, integration, timing closure and chip signoff procedures. You will be a team member working on Teradici’s latest PCoIP devices under minimal direction with an ability to mentor junior designers. You will interact closely with Teradici’s digital design, mixed signal design, chip validation, IC physical layout and firmware development teams.
Experience:
 

The Ideal Candidate will have the following experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in digital chip design 
  • Solid experience with Verilog/VHDL RTL synthesis  
  • Skilled at static timing 
  • Familiarity with high level verification languages  
  • Design experience with the following are preferred: Ethernet, USB, Audio and Video compression, PCI-Express, RISC Controller, high-speed memory interfaces 
  • Low power design expertise 
  • Physical synthesis experience would be an asset 
  • Strong results orientation 
  • Understanding of functional verification principles: random tests, directed tests, test plan and function coverage 
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux and scripting languages 
  • A detail oriented individual with an excellent work ethic who will do what it takes to complete the job within the specified schedule

Education:
