Overview:
Teradici Corporation is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer (SE) based in the Washington, DC metro area to identify, develop, and close opportunities in the desktop market. As part of the Sales team at Teradici, you will be at the forefront of the desktop virtualization and cloud computing space. Teradici’s innovative PC-over-IP® (PCoIP®) protocol is a core technology for desktop virtualization enabling an exceptional user experience in virtual desktop products like VMware View™ 4 and is also the first technology to remote full frame-rate 3D graphics.

Responsibilities:
- Support the identification, development and closing of end-user opportunities through focusing on increasing the partner’s capabilities and success.
- Understand each end-user’s business and be able to map the technical requirements to the appropriate Teradici solutions.
- Perform the technical “sell” of the solution, provide proof points of the technology and connect this back to the business benefits.
- Provide support including technical sales calls, training, presentations, proof-of-concepts, capacity planning and technical ROI models.
- Act as technical point of contact for customers in communicating requirements to Systems Engineering and relaying response recommendations to customers.
- Coordinate with Systems Engineering to communicate customer needs and provide onsite confirmation of customer technical issues and resolution steps as needed.
- Provide training and other support for partners.
- Represent Teradici and tradeshows and other speaking engagements as needed.
- Support Design Wins at OEM partners to enable them to integrate Teradici products.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree/diploma in computer systems technology or equivalent technical experience
- 5+ years’ system and network support and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with IP networking, IP devices and desktop remoting technologies
- Experience with servers (Dell, HP, IBM etc.), firewalls and security related issues and trouble shooting
- Solid system and network debugging skills and network performance analysis
- Working knowledge of VMWare, ESX/View, Microsoft Windows Server, X86 platforms
- Sufficient technical depth to communicate with the development team and other internal organizations at a peer level on behalf of the customer
- Ability to interact and communicate (verbal and written) with the customers’ technical and management personnel, including polished presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage and prioritize concurrent technical support demands
- Ability to work independently with minimal management supervision
- A desire to interface directly with customers, end users and OEM’s
- Availability and willingness to travel (up to 75%) to customer sites as required
- Located in designated region, preferably close to a major airport
- Required to work from a home office and to setup/accommodate a lab environment
