Responsibilities:

• Develop the specification of one or more sub- systems within the silicon device.
• Handle implementation of the sub-system, in terms of RTL coding, synthesis, test integration and static timing.
• Assist with the physical implementation of the design, working closely with the back end team.
• Assist with the functional verification of the design, working closely with the verification team.
• Take ownership of the sub-system throughout the flow in terms of both status and scheduling.
• Work closely with all the team players to ensure complete system operability.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in digital chip design
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Skilled in high-level design languages such as Verilog or VHDL
• Proven track record of delivering or leading complex devices or sub-systems, in terms of specification, RTL coding, synthesis, test integration, STA, and physical integration
• Design experience or understanding of the following are preferred: Ethernet, USB, Audio and Video compression, Video encoding/decoding, GPU, PCI-Express, ARM/MIPS based RISC Controllers, high-speed memory interfaces
• Excellent understanding of functional verification principles: random tests, directed tests, test plan and function coverage
• Able to deliver complex tasks on aggressive schedules, and provide estimates on work, and to track to those deliverables with contingency planning
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux and scripting languages
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
• Strong organizational, time management and problem solving skills
• A detail oriented individual with an excellent work ethic who will do what it takes to complete the job within the specified schedule
• A team player with strong results orientation
