Tom Alexander
Tom Alexander has over 18 years experience in the networking, computation, and imaging industries. He is currently Chief Technology Officer at VeriWave, Inc, a leading provider of performance analysis tools for wireless LAN equipment and networks. Prior to VeriWave, Inc., he was the principal architect for Ethernet products for PMC-Sierra. He is active in communications standards, being the editor for the IEEE 802.3ae 10G Ethernet standard, the Chief Editor, IEEE 802.17, and the technical editor for IEEE 802.11T. Dr. Alexander has a history of founding and guiding successful companies, including Bit Inc., which was acquired by PMC-Sierra.
Bill Lin
Bill Lin is a professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. His research in various aspects of electronic system design and high-speed networks has led to over a hundred journal and conference publications. He is the recipient of numerous Best Paper Awards at various leading technical conferences and journals, including a Best Paper Award for the IEEE Transactions on VLSI Systems, and he is also the inventor of several awarded patents.
Dr. Lin holds BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
Adam Taubman, ESP Managing Director
Adam Taubman is a Managing Director at Enterprise Solution Providers (ESP). He has over 24 years of a strong technology background in the financial services industry dealing with technical management, engineering, and architecture of financial products and systems. He is a recognized leader in the industry in both managing complex global projects while being proficient in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
Before joining ESP, Mr. Taubman was with Morgan Stanley for 13 years where he was responsible during his tenure for building a Global Enterprise Project organization that handled key initiatives such as Data Center Planning and Operations, Business Integration, responsibility for Morgan's footprint expansion (several million square feet) and all major cross-silo technology initiatives. He has also pioneered the move to blade desktop technology while creating and implementing the current Morgan BCP plan. He also spent multiple years managing the FID / FX / Commodities technology.
Adam has had his work published and can be found in such notable industry magazines such as Wall Street Technology, Business Week and Waters Magazine.
Andrew Warfield
Andrew Warfield is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia and the Storage Architect for XenSource, a virtualization startup with offices in Cambridge (UK), Palo Alto, and Redmond. Dr. Warfield completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge in 2006 where his graduate work stemmed from his involvement in the Xen virtual machine monitor. As one of the original developers of Xen, Dr. Warfield has focused on the virtualization of I/O resources and the use of virtualization to extend device functionality.
