TERA1100 PORTAL PROCESSOR

The TERA1100 is one of the devices in the TERA chipset that enables products to deliver a true, uncompromised PC experience over IP networks, supporting up to dual DVI displays at 1920x1200 resolution. It provides transparent USB and HD audio bridging, as well as USB device authorization and encrypted communications. Hardware bridging eliminates need for drivers and enables true OS and application independence.

The TERA1100 Portal Processor is designed to be integrated into a Desktop Portal, a small device at the end-user's desk. Input comes from the enterprise network via a standard Ethernet connector. Output is driven by one or two DVI ports for display and USB and audio ports for peripherals. The TERA1100 Portal Processor provides full visual fidelity and transparent I/O bridging including High Definition audio and USB functionality to create a true PC experience. The Desktop Portal is sleek, simple, stateless, fanless, and is independent of the host computing environment to meet the needs of a full range of users: from office workers to high-end, multi-display workstation users. The net result is a low cost, reliable Desktop Portal that requires minimal IT administration and support since all processing resides on the host PC or workstation.
