Award Recognizes the 100 “Most Promising” Companies Driving the Future of Technology
Burnaby, British Columbia – May 22, 2008 – Teradici® Corporation, the industry leader in delivering a true PC experience over standard IP networks via PC-over-IP® technology, has been named as one of the top 100 privately-held technology start-up companies by Red Herring Magazine in its annual North American competition. The announcement came last week in San Jose, at the 11th annual event honoring the winners.
"The large number of entries in this year's competition demonstrates that the economic slowdown has not affected technology innovation," said Joel Dreyfuss, editor-in-chief of Red Herring. "The companies on this year's list are proof that creative ideas continue to find the funding that turns them into promising businesses."
Teradici's groundbreaking PC-over-IP technology is designed specifically to deliver a user's desktop from a centralized host PC or server across standard IP networks to ensure the user enjoys a rich multimedia experience, including high resolution, full frame rate 2D/3D graphics, multi-monitor displays, all types of USB devices, and high-definition audio. This PC-over-IP solution offers a true computing experience for the end user while supporting the efficiency and security of centralized computing.
"Teradici was selected out of hundreds of exceptional companies this year, and while the entries were judged on many criteria, ultimately the winners were those with the right elements to emerge as disruptive and highly successfully in their chosen field," said Dan Cordingley, president and chief executive officer, Teradici Corporation. "This award by Red Herring recognizes the vision and innovative products our company has delivered to leading OEMs, and acknowledges the tremendous potential for Teradici to reshape the computing industry.
