Web UI Developer

Teradici Corporation is seeking a User Interface Software Engineer to help design and develop web-based user interfaces for our leading edge products. As part of the software team at Teradici, you will enhance usability and aesthetics of existing web-based and embedded user interfaces, as well as design, develop and maintain user interfaces for internal tools and new products.

The successful candidate will have experience developing web-based user interfaces, with solid visual design skills and a strong understanding of ergonomics and usability. The candidate should also have some experience with host and embedded software development, and be positive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic about technology.

Responsibilities:

• The user interface software engineer’s primary responsibility will be the development of web-based user interfaces, for both management-oriented virtual appliances and Teradici embedded systems. The user interface software engineer will interact with software team members to determine basic design requirements, and will be responsible for optimizing layout and flow of the interface to ensure a positive user experience.

Experience:

The Ideal Candidate will have the following experience

• 3-5 years of UI design and development
• HTML, PHP, XML, CSS, Java script, DOM and AJAX.
• SQL databases (MySQL preferred)
• SOAP and client/server programming
• C/C++ programming in an RTOS environment
• Perl and Tcl scripting
• Familiarity with Apache server
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Education:

• Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Computer Engineering) or equivalent.
